The service

Make My Passport Photo is a browser based tool that helps you crop a photo to official passport and visa dimensions, optionally replace its background, and lay it out on a printable sheet. The free version shows watermarked previews. Paid downloads provide clean files. Purchases are one time payments for the photo session you are working on, not subscriptions.

Purchases and license keys

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which is the legal seller of record and handles applicable taxes. After purchase you receive a license key that unlocks downloads. A key can be used on a limited number of devices. Keys are for your personal use and may not be shared, resold, or published.

Photo acceptance

Our size and head position templates follow ICAO standards and the specifications published by each issuing authority, and a source reference is shown for each document type. However, the decision to accept or reject any photo rests solely with the issuing government authority, and requirements can change without notice. You are responsible for verifying current requirements before submitting, and for the content and quality of the photo you provide, including lighting, expression, and background. We make no guarantee that any photo will be accepted.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for rejected applications, missed deadlines, travel disruption, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this tool. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the purchase concerned.

Refunds

We provide refunds for technical faults with the delivered files, for example a corrupt download, a file at the wrong dimensions, or a purchase that failed to unlock. Contact support@makemypassportphoto.com within 14 days of purchase with your order reference and a description of the fault, and we will fix the problem or refund you. Refunds for photo rejection by an authority are not provided, because acceptance is outside our control. Statutory consumer rights in your country remain unaffected.

Fair use

You may not use this site for unlawful purposes, attempt to interfere with its operation, or misrepresent the identity of the person in a photo. The site and its code remain our property.
